Alexandra Eala has a new career-high WTA singles ranking: World No. 17.
The WTA Singles Numeric List as of 2 November 2026 has her at No. 17 with 2,289 points, up two places from No. 19 on the previous list. That move also breaks her prior career high of No. 18, first reached on 24 August 2026 just before the US Open.
She sits between Japan's Naomi Osaka (No. 16) and Fil-Canadian Leylah Fernandez (No. 18) on the same sheet. The official WTA player profile now shows current singles rank 17 and career high 17.
How she got here
Eala started 2026 around No. 50. The climb includes her first WTA Tour singles title at the Mubadala DC Open in Washington, deep runs through the Asian swing, and a quarterfinal at the Toray Pan Pacific Open in Tokyo — wins over Mika Stojsavljevic and Talia Gibson before a three-set loss to Diana Shnaider.
Philippine coverage from Inquirer, Philstar Life, and GMA marked the No. 17 jump on the Monday the list posted — the day before she opened her Hong Kong campaign.
Hong Kong, still going
As the new No. 17, Eala is the No. 2 seed at the Prudential Hong Kong Tennis Open (WTA 250). On Tuesday she beat lucky loser Emerson Jones 6–4, 6–3 after Alycia Parks withdrew. Next is Tereza Valentova in the round of 16 on Thursday 5 November — start time TBD until the order of play posts a firm clock. Rally's Alex Eala tracker stays on that next match.
Her 2026 singles record on the hub is 43–25.
